I have been using Zotero but someone recomended Mendelay and I gave it a try. (I presume Zotero is still running with Rosetta 2, but I don't really know.) I am interested to hear from people who have an M1 and use Zotero regularly to know if it. Flug In For Zotero In 2016 Software For SafariI didn’t have cable, but I did have a VCR and a love of most things British. If I am understanding correctly, downloaded the latest software for Safari, the plugin for Word, and restarted Word, without success.Once upon a time, in the days of yore before Netflix and YouTube, I had a tv. Everything went well, except I cannot find the Zotero toolbar. Neu:I just installed Word 2016 for Mac.Watching and thinking about Morse taught me some new lessons wearing my new lens as the hops & brewing archivist.1. Though it has been awhile since I’d seen one of the original series episodes I was reminded of why I became an addict. I learned about manners, how not to get caught, and when to say “loo.” Yes, I also learned that he drinks way too much and way too often… But nonetheless, it is still fun to watch.Last weekend was really foggy and cold, so I spent some quality time on the couch with Morse. And John Thaw was so successful that no one else will ever play the part.Author Colin Dexter has revealed that because the late actor offered the definitive portrayal of the curmudgeonly detective, he has ordered that no one else should take on the role.To ensure this, the 82-year-old has added a stipulation in his will saying that none of the 33 episodes in which Thaw appeared can be remade. There is certainly a “vintage charm” to these episodes, and I really don’t remember the hair or clothing seeming quite so dated when I watched these in the 1990s, but I admit that it’s curious to think of this in terms of “an original.” Assuming that Dexter was writing with Thaw in mind, then he was an integral part of the creative process, so these episodes aren’t interpretations of an original but really a part of the original itself. But does that mean that a reinterpretation or re-imagining does anything to the original? Is a new version any less than an old version?Archivists used to stake their claim on having “the original,” but what that actually means these days has gotten a lot murkier. According to the Daily Mail, these older episodes with John Thaw can’t be remade. He made the role of Inspector Morse his own. Convert avi to mp4 for free macBut it isn’t actually at OSU even though I can find it in our library catalog and reference it in an OHBA Zotero library. So how far can an archive go in developing a “collection”? How far should an archive go? What is an original? And where do we draw the line for “unique”? Finally, do we need to?In this Google-ized world where information is (relatively) easily discoverable, is the new “archive” really just a portal to information held elsewhere? Our job has always been to bring together information and let scholars make up their own arguments, not offering pre-packaged narratives but the raw data for them to massage into their own stories.Should there be a point where we stick to the physical item and call that the original?Deep thoughts, but good thoughts. Another library, another funder, another archivist or technician has digitized rare or unique materials and put them online for us to see! This is pretty awesome! So I can read the full text of the 1829 The theory and practice of brewing from malted and unmalted corn and from potatos. It’s this last that is interesting to me. There may be a recipe, I may have borrowed it or made it up myself, but what I have are ingredients that come together to make something new and unique.
